We believe in starting puppies off correctly - with advice on puppy selection, management, crate training, socialization, as well as starting you out with handling and basic obedience skills!
Six Week Private Lessons
Six weekly hour long sessions take you and your dog through the on-leash portion of the Koehler Method of Dog Training, addresses problem behaviors, and sets you up for success to practice out and around the Tulsa area in public. Puppies are welcome to segue into our Advanced Drop In Group Classes to maintain and refine their skills, a really fun option for owners and their puppy partners!

Three Week Board and Train
Starting puppies correctly can be difficult when life gets complicated, so we love to take puppies into board and train while you handle logistics at home! We include the six week private lessons in our board and train package, as well as a full year's access to our Drop In Advanced Group Classes so that you will feel confident and supported in your puppy's early education!

Where Do We Have Lessons?
We have a 1200sqft climate controlled indoor facility with a lovely 1000sqft training area, as well as outdoor areas with compelling distractions (like cats, chickens, and goats). We vary from location as appropriate. For more advanced students, we can also meet in public spaces to practice our skills.Â

Where Does my Puppy stay during Board and Train?
They stay in spacious outdoor runs when the weather is nice, and overnight while they are asleep they practice their crate training in our climate controlled facility. They get breaks to play, train, and a few field trips during their board and train!

How old does my puppy need to be to start training?
We prefer to start dogs between 9 and 20 weeks of age so that they can have a series of really effective socialization experiences. We very carefully manage their environment to be maximally effective in building a confident, eager to work puppy.Â

Does my puppy have to have all of their vaccinations before going to training?
Ultimately that is a decision between you, the owner, and your veterinarian. As all of the dogs here are required to have had effective immunizations they should have herd immunity, though of course we cannot control all of the wild animals in the vicinity. The benefit to risk assessment should be the importance of early socialization balanced against the possible disease risk - and ultimately that is up to you to decide.Â
