Six Weeks of Private Lessons
While your dog stays with us, you come once a week for a private lesson. The private lessons continue once a week for three weeks after they go home - and afterwards, you should be very confident in your handling ability. These lessons are included in your board and train package price.
A Year's Access to Our Drop In Advanced Class
After your private lessons are finished, you should feel confident enough to attend our Drop In Advanced Classes at your discretion, where you can practice and learn with other dog owners and their teammates. A year of these lessons are included in your board and train package price. At the end of the year, you and your dog graduate with a Ph. DOG, and you are ready to go out and do anything you put your mind to! Agility, higher levels of obedience, trick training, or working your fully obedience trained service dog.

Where Does my Dog Stay During Board and Train?
We have a 1200sqft climate controlled indoor facility and six large outdoor runs for potty breaks, playtime, and relaxation outdoors. Your dog will always be contained unless they are supervised, and will work both inside and outside among distractions for their training program.
What does the Board and Train cover?
We teach your dog the language of obedience - sit, down, and stand stay, recall, and heeling (walking by your side) with traditional leash work, as well as addressing any specific issue they might have like being bad for nail clips, food aggression, or dog aggression. All skills must be taught to you, the owner, for the dog to respond as well.
Do you train dogs who have a bite history?
We do, but only through our ten week full private lesson option.
What does a day look like during their board and train?
We try to keep each day very similar and highly structured, as that reduces stress and facilitates learning. We wake up, they go potty, we clean, then we train each dog there for a training program, then midday they are put inside with their food and medications, then they take a nap. Then we go outside, and we clean, and we train, then they play with a dog friend (if they make overtures of friendliness and clearly want to do so, otherwise, we do more training) then they come inside and go to sleep for the night. We keep it simple.
Can I do a shorter board and train, like a week?
I prefer to take the dog for three weeks to get a relatively solid foundation of the skills under them, but the most important part of my programs are the private lessons that accompany the board and train. If you are committed to attending those private lessons, you can send your dog for a shorter period, but you have to come to your lessons. I am not a magician and I can't live in your pocket, so in order for you and your dog to be successful, you have to learn how to do this.
